Tim Lampley is an Emmy Award winning broadcaster. He formerly worked as a news segment producer and on-air reporter for Black Entertainment Television (BET in Washington DC). At BET, Lampley conducted many high profile interviews for several BET programs including BET news, BET Tonight, NYLA, Turnstyle and Maad Sports.
In broadcast news, Lampley worked as an overnight anchor at KSDK News Channel 5 (NBC) in St. Louis. He was also an anchor/reporter at WMBD-TV (CBS) in Peoria, Illinois and WTVO-TV (ABC) in Rockford, Illinois.
In 2014, Lampley was hired by two national networks, ReVolt-TV and TVOne, as their only on-the- ground correspondent during the Ferguson, Missouri uprising. His stories were heard over Radio- One stations all over the country; seen on "NewsOne Now with Roland Martin", BlackAmericaweb.com, Ricky Smiley and Tom Joyner Morning shows' websites, among others.
As an entertainment reporter, Lampley conducted one of the last in depth television interviews with superstar singer Luther Vandross before his death. In 2017, Lampley won a prestigious Emmy Award (Mid America) in the Arts and Entertainment Feature Segment category for a story he did on the Legendary Motown group the Supremes.
He continues to work for ReVolt-TV and STL-TV in St. Louis as a freelance reporter/producer in entertainment and news.
A former resident of the Washington D.C area, Lampley now lives in St. Louis.
He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville
